BlackDiamond
I am creating wall views for the interior designer and using the 'wall elevation' command under 3D. However it always shows a flat ceiling and doesn't show any vaults. Is there a way to accurately show the full gabled wall?
Kenoeightspot
Use a cross section view then mask around what you do not want to see.

This is what I do as well. I pretty much never use the wall elevation tool. It really has more limitations than benefits IMO.
johnny
I agree with everyone on current fix, but the OP has a point about a need for a faster way to get interior wall sections to mask correctly. The way Chief currently does interior wall elevations isn't how the industry typically shows those drawings.
DRAWZILLA
If you balloon frame that wall it will show the vault in a wall elevation view. That is how it would be built in real life.
DRAWZILLA
Don't know, looks like it did give the vault to me, I must not understand what you are asking, maybe framing is turned off in that wall elevation
