GeneDavis
I just downloaded a .ttf file, an decorative arts and crafts font, and it is in my Windows directory, in the fonts folder. I don't see it in Chief. What is the procedure?

johnny
If that still isn't working for some reason after a reboot try to use the font in another app to verify the font is actually installed correctly. If you can use the font in another app like "MS Word" and you can't use it in Chief then you know its a Chief problem. Otherwise it could be a font problem. BrownTiger
Instead of placing font directly, right click on the font and select install or from font previewer select Install. Close and Reopen ChiefArchitect.
jcaffee
It could be a poorly structured font file. A lot of the "free" fonts out in the wild have improperly structured glyphs and therefore, won't work everywhere.

GeneDavis
The reboot worked fine for me. Thanks. What happened to the feature in the forum that permitted one to identify the best answer to the question?
