Smn842
Has there been a statement about whether the file formats for X9 beta are now fixed? I see some posts about people using X9 for real work so not sure what the situation is as many betas allow for breaking changes and I could test it more for bugs making real updates rather than just experimenting. lbuttery
Simon: while some are using X9 for real - the caveat is that it is not official and it could change even after the official release CA can issue updates very rare that they would "break" something - but .... if you are concerned about running for "real" then its probably best not to Lew
MarkMc
The file format itself won't change. Once saved in X9 it can't be opened by earlier versions.
lbuttery
The file format itself won't change Mark: probably not but it did with ver 10.3 to 10.4 Lew
Joe_Carrick
If there are any changes between now and the final release, anything you are working on in the X9 Beta would still work. If CA has to change the Plan file format, they automatically update an existing Plan to the new format when opened and subsequently saved in the latest version. Smn842
Thanks all. It's good that any potential file format changes would be incremental so no loss of existing work done in v9.
