johnny
I have builder clients who often want to flip a home previously designed for a different lot. Flipping the plans isn't a problem, but what is a problem is the notes etc on the elevations/sections. Is there any solution for this?
glennw
Johnny, Are you using Reverse Plan to do the flip? Try this. Open up all your elevations and sections, and then do the Reverse Plan. Things should flip with a lot more order. You can even do the Reverse Plan from an elevation view. Edit: It appears that you don't even need to keep the elevations open. As long as you have opened and closed an elevation in that session, the text and dimensions behave. Chief seems to remember if an elevation has been opened it that session. http://screencast.com/t/Tr8AtgJL
michaelgia
However..... if you've done a layout already, be prepared for "reverse plan" to wreak havoc on your layout pages. You have to delete a lot of views and resend them to layout. Not an extremely big deal but it does require some work.
DRAWZILLA
I wonder if having always update and the layout open would cover the opening of the each elevation and section. Haven't tried it .
ShaneK
No matter how you do it there will be work cleaning up items, elevations or text or dimensions or ??? but it's better than a re-draw.
