Francois
The city wants a grid system on the architectural drawings. What is it? How do I do it? What does it need to represent? Thanks.
Kenoeightspot
I use grids on most projects. When talking on the phone with a contractor and they say left wall, I would say do you mean the wall along grid 2 . You can use cad ling and text or the "Call out" tool. DRAWZILLA
For me it means the wall line for shear walls A,B,C, / 1,2,3,. It makes it easier for the plan checker to find the line used to add up the total lineal footage of shear wall along that line. It is usually also on the structural calc's
