As Bryce so eloquently put it "ditto" also. Do some actually believe that their software should do their code compliance work for them? By the way, the California 2013 codes are based on the 2012 International codes. Andy.

To electromen, if you don't post it, how do we know that you actually did it? Andy.

I like and use PDFill, it is not very expensive and I use mostly the free tools to convert PDF to JPGs or vice versa. You can create PDF documents from inside it too. Andy.

Hi Toby, no attachment that I can see but let me take a guess as to what is the problem. Go into the layer set and turn off the layer that is "ceiling break lines" next, open the bay window and turn off the "display dimensions" in the options tab. Andy.

X6 CAD. Rotate polyline to match angle of other CAD object
AndyGump replied to GeneDavis's topic in General Q & A
If you double click the "parallel" tool you will get a dialog that will allow you to choose to rotate entire object. Perhaps that is what you are looking for Gene? Andy. -
In the wall DBX, set the 'Rail Style' to "Panels" then in the 'Newels/Balusters' specification under "Panels" click on the library button and navigate to the "Architectural/Fences/Cable and click the cable panel of your choice, (only two there). You should then have the cable fence you want. Andy.

Habitat 4 Humanity Stockton needs draftsman
AndyGump replied to H4HGeorge's topic in Seeking Services
Hey Eric, I couldn't help but notice that you have clipped your area code of your phone number in your signature. It has: 70-514-7278 Andy. -
I sometimes set the material of the roof surface to be about 1 1/8" thick. Then the framing goes away in elevation views. Might not be the best thing for some situations but so far it has worked for me. Andy.

Ha ha, I would pay money to see that contest. Andy. -
HI Larry, something you might try is to set the distance of connection at about 24" or less. Then if it does connect to something other than what it should the connection will not be too far away. Andy.

Actually, now that you mention it, my feet are wet from all this rain we have had the past couple days. More rain the past two days than we have had in about 2 years or some such. Got about 6" here all told. Might be wrong though. Andy.

My Chief Architect Has Expired - How Can This Be
AndyGump replied to CJSpud's topic in General Q & A
I think you missed the announcement as I did get one before the Beta expired. Andy. -
Larry, you can just email me at andytardif@gmail.com if you want. Andy.

You got that message because you are opening it from your temp folder. Save the DWG file somewhere else and open it then. Andy.
-
HI Larry, sorry about that, I saved it as a 2013 file, here it is as 2010. And yes, Draftsite is a AC compatible program. Andy. Boyd's Station New Survey CB.zip
-
I think the problem may be in the way you have Chief converting the plan file to DWG. Andy.
-
I took the original and opened it in Chief then converted from Chief to DWG. It opens much better in AC now. Andy. Boyd's Station New Survey CB.zip
-
I can open the converted file in my DraftSite with a few issues. First and foremost, I think that the scaling is off. He could probably open it and zoom extents. Andy.
-
I believe the answer to that would be...No. Andy.
-
LOL, I knew there had to be a reason. Andy.
-
Good question Michael, I don't know but will check it out as I go. Thanks. Andy.

No big deal at all but it seems like only every other post is counted in the post tally under my name. Just a funny thing to have happen is all. Anybody else? Andy.

Try using Chrome, works well for me. It always has. Andy.
