Well son of a... That works, thank you, sir. I guess I will have to take a deeper dive into the new stuff in X-14. Andy.

Test plan.planTest plan.planTest plan.planI have a couple of test plans that did not go through but I have that fixed now. When I create a schedule of the electrical stuff some of the electical items will not shut off the labels. Andy.
-
I am having this problem wherein the electrical labels will not turn off in plan no matter what I do. Anyone else? Andy.

You should not, you simply did not know. There are an infinite number of things I don't know and I don't believe I am stupid. I let other people believe I am stupid. Hmmm...now that I think of it, there seems to be a lot of 'um too. Andy.

If you need to legalize it I assume then that the house is already turned into two separate units, correct? There are some pitfalls to that that you need to take into consideration. Such as, the city may want you to remove some walls to verify framing and drywall, etc. Andy.

Any ideas on creating a two color tile pattern?
AndyGump replied to AndyGump's topic in General Q & A
Ya know, I looked all over (or so I thought) for that but couldn't find it. Thank you, Chopsaw. Andy. -
I am looking for any good techniques for creating a two-color tile pattern for flooring. Something very 50's retro. Red and white or black and white. Andy.

I also have examples of the different grid patterns in separate rooms also. It is just not all that hard to do and I like the way the rest of Chief works. So there is that. Andy.
-
Ah, I see now. You would like a tool for grids that would be easy to manipulate the entirety of the grid instead of doing one line at a time and multi-copy said line and have to trim at the edges, etc. I get it, I would like that too for sure. But that not being the case, I am pretty quick at laying the proper lines down using the 2D tools. It just doesn't take too long to do that but the other way would be welcome. Andy.

I do a lot of commercial stuff that includes reflected ceiling plans, egress plans, floor plans, fixture plans, finishes, etc. What kind of thing do you want from a program when it comes to commercial stuff? I suppose any 2D program will "DO" commercial stuff, just put lines in where needed. I guess what I am asking is if you would be more specific about what you want Chief to do for you? Andy.

As Perry mentioned, the walls CAN be changed/modified depending on the Title 24 Part 6 calculations. I know as I also do performance calcs. Andy. -
Nice. Thank you for that. Andy.

It seems like no matter how I set my preferences in Raytrace I can not get the background to be just white. Not a light grey or off-white, but just white. Like there is nothing there behind my model. Anyone know the secret? Andy.

Hi Gene, aren't the counterforts on the heel side of the slab of a common retaining wall though? Or is counterfort just a catchall name for this concept? Andy.

Just individually convert all the Chief files to DWG files and import all the converted files to one DWG file in AutoCAD. Pretty easy actually. Andy.

Just so you know, they are in Brentwood California. Andy. -
Create your 3 1/2" pitch first, then start your 12" pitch right at the top of the 3 1/2" pitch. Chief will sort of blend the two together although they will actually be separate roof planes. Andy.

I wish that I had known about this when I renewed my SSA a month or two ago. Is this a new policy? I am not aware of a policy like this before. Andy.
