Tried in both, managed to import it (using V8). DAE was cleaner than 3ds. Was going to filter it throught TurboCad to convert which I do sometimes but didn't have to. PTP?

A portion of what I sent- I inlcude that those projects were in 4 states (and 5 counties in this one) or that is about double the rate of W/SZ I did when I worked for the outfit that was also a W/SZ delaer. Along with the message I included a quick RT of a project that has flush inset SZ install noting that is not possible to render that accurately in 2020 or ProKitchen. BTW-re SU models- If you use Wolf Sub so much you must have converted some to CA along the way? maybe share em?

Dennis, is that RT? Here is what I get with white polished in rt.

Reflective works better in Ray Trace, Polished looks a bit better in Standard but is a nogo in RT from what I can tell. Messing with lights is needed if using photon mapping. Attached are two quick examples with slightly different setting for the color and rt (top has no photon) along with pic of IRL Acrylic Hi-Gloss white from a recent project.

I have had something similar where text layers showed up in layout/annosets where they are supposed to be off. I can't say if it's pilot error or something else. I just change it and move on. I often (more so lately) have a lot of windows open, sometimes I've managed to have a second copy of a plan but cant' say that was the case, I always have several elevations up, I also often copy paste a plan view in layout and change the layerset for it there then go back to the plan. I've only noticed it in plan and just put it off to something I did, will try to pay more attention (in which case it will never happen again)

This is the same job as the other recent stuff. We usually only see this as an accent or on furniture pieces, not all that common but I needed them so here they are.. If you need to change door and drawer style on these you will want to copy the door and alter the origin prior to placing it. In use add the cabinets to library, in plan make default cabinet, design as usual then for odd configurations use replace from library. There should be enough variables to allow altering the faces easy enough. Just determine ahead of time if you need to split the item (door/drawer) or split a layout (horizontal or vertical) Note-these cabinets are configured that they would be easy enough to change to 3/8 beaded inset if you made the bead parts. If I end up needing them I'll post em but usually we see 1/4" beads which were the last ones I posted.

That would be sweet!! This wasn't too bad once I figured it out though.Started with full height and set to side panel inset and picked one of the side beads. Then proceeded to split as needed, change sizes and panel or bead. Some others I split layout so did not have to keep redoing all the parts, where I wanted to remove rails I split the drawer instead.

Some time back Graham, myself and a few folks played around with how to show a beaded inset cabinet in Chief. What were the best solutions at the time are a PIA to work with. I was in need of doing a job with either beaded inset frames or elite (which will be a bit harder and is far rarer so not here) I wanted some way to have a beaded inset frame that was easy to change door style on. Figured this out while driving back from client meeting. Plan attached has a bunch of base cabinets configured, one wall cabinet and one tall. I've also attached a library of the "doors" used as "side panel inset" to achieve the beading. These are 1/4" beads with a total width of 5/16" Note that separation widths and heights need to be changed to get correct opening for doors or drawers. From there you are on your own so open the DBX to see what's going on. Hope you like it, I'm pleased as punch Ran a quick rt while checking things-looks like I'll need some hardware with altered origins so they don't float. Note that these will use the default door, the top (A) drawers use default, the larger B drawers are set individually so either clear or specify those. Leave the beading untouched. Discovered that the wall cabinet in the current plan is not set as a door but as a side panel inset. Either correct that your self of use the newly attached BeadInsetPlan_X12. Changing to wider combined cabinets involves selecting "layout" vertical or horizontal and splitting. Avoid messing with the beads. Bit tricky, always use a test cabinet.

If you use a download manager or an extension (like down them all) you can go online to the catalog web page and select all the bonus cats you can find and then have it all download at once. You still have to go through and find them all though.

Attached is a plan with some symbols to make beaded chamfers on the side of cabinet frames, includes a few samples using them on cabinets. Included a few side panels if you don't want to go through the trouble of configuring a cabinet. I make no promise about label accuracy. These were made for inset cabinets where they are most common. I rarely see these done nowadays but needed them for a current job so here ya go. Just a note- finally figured when doing cabinet face configuring life is much simpler starting with a blank cabinet so I added one of each type to my library as "Blank Base,..." Added two bevel chamfers-attached both types as library (beaded ones are in the plan also)

Might want to add something about this to th "PC or Mac" thread. Reading your posts there "could " lead the uninitiated to do the same thing you did.

Curt-here's what I played with-added the second cabinet (middle) after I created the first symbol, third is a cabinet inside a cabinet to increase wall thicknes. None completely done. Not entirely working as a window yet but maybe could be.

I tried that too-gets messier than making a symbol from a cabinet but you do have a bit more control.

I've had a run of mantles and worked with them a few ways-plan attached has two flaovors. One is parts, the other is a single cabinet-I kept the stages that I went through with it. Worth dissecting. At the same time I've had a couple of flush inset appliance jobs so I dropped a Sub-Zero surround set for that in along with the face of a 48 side by side (note that overall width is 1/16" too big but panels should be correct though I haven't done a final check on that one:) Same principal can be sued for flush inset microwave drawers. Then included a library of the parts used for the flush install so you can do other appliances or see how it's done. Note that you may need to alter the stretch zones if using them elsewhere ads they are set to prevent resizing. Also included a library of some assorted hardware-including sub zero handles. In there is some Sun Valley Hardware, a McNicols grill-which should be used with caution as they are stupid expensive. The iron hardware in the library also requires restraint as IRL it is very inconsistent and the handles prone to turning in use. Finally there is a radiator cover (had a mess of those too) and one odd linen cabinet (just showing off with that one) designed around challenging restrictions for the door clearance (why it looks the way it does)

Yes while it can be worse with those doors, I almost exclusively use custom door symbols with panels between 1/4 & 3/8 in. I still run into it so have all shelves set back further. Solves the problem an is also more accurate. They should really change the OOB defaults, but you can until that happens.

Cabinet type, radius end, set front to blank, set back to look like you want the front. Couple of ways to deal with toe.

Your welcome. I opened it in TurboCad Deluxe (cheap and useful) saved in that format, then re-saved as dwg with new name, set the dwg version back a little in time just in case that was the issue. I had TC Pro many moons ago, downgraded to Deluxe and upgrade every few years, usually when I come across a CAD file from a manufacturer that is in a newer format. Handy little program, I rarely use it for anything but file conversion or to fix something.

I was under the impression that you had loose shelves, not just shelves in cabinets. Those weren't meant to go into cabinets. If I had to deal with shelves inside cabinets I'd likely copy schedule into a spreadsheet then set a formula from there based on cabinet type, width, height....(when I was building cabinets I was still drafting with a pencil and happy to just have a sheet optimizer The alternative is Ruby macro in an OIP field based on cabinet configuration, that would be live. If the job is big enough contact one of the custom Macro guys-Joe or Michael. Again I thought you needed loose shelves.

Don't know if this helps but you can get loose shelves into the schedule if you make them from wall cabinets. With the new OIP there are ways to get some information using Ruby into those based on cabinet size, type and configuration but I don't think it would be worth the effort (spreadsheet is easier and schedule can be copied and pasted into one) Plan with shelf with nosing on just the front and another with it on 3 sides along with the "door symbol" made from a molding line.

I set my templates to have no shelves, makes it easier if I have to create a detail to show opening dimensions (hide doors, detail from view,...) When I include them I set them to a bit less than the 1" Scott suggests since I do a lot of inset cabinets with recess panels where it becomes more of an issue.

For when you've forgotten to add it to a template or not using SAM, copy from existing plan , paste into a new one (I also use CAD Details for them and keep them in templates)
