  1. Graham, Thanks so very much for sharing and letting us delve into your glass(es) and other materials. Here's a PBR that I had done - but was not especially happy with the glass of the vase and the Dining Light Fixture. And, The same camera with Graham's Crystal Glass (my library name for it). applied to the vase & light fixture. WOW! What a HUGE IMPROVEMENT! Excellent, Graham, Thank You!
  2. Graham, your glass is excellent! The wine glasses look like RT. Have you shared those settings in another thread?
  3. Perfect & EASY! It's my understanding that CA engineers are working on a way to have cabinet moldings go on more like the real world and the schedule show the totals for each profile and color. Hope so. Thanks for all who responded!
  4. I searched this forum for the answer to this, please accept my apologies if it has already been discussed. I would think that this has happened a lot. I have a tall pantry cab 24"d of a grey color next to a Wall cab 12"d in White. I can't seem to have 2 different molding colors - which is what our customer wants. Please see the attached file and screenshots. The young men that are remodeling this home for sale want renderings to use in the listing. Of course, there is no problem ordering the molding materials. It renders correctly in 20-20 (UGH). Cleveland Modified Kit.zip
  5. Thanks, gentlemen! - Support Answer - Kirk Clemons Wednesday, Sep 12, 2018 - 01:29 PM PDT It appears that this is actually due to the plant images. If you turn off the plant's layer, the lampshade material renders correctly. This has been reported to our developers. As to your question regarding the materials being added to your library, yes, you can. If you open the plan materials dialog and select any material in the list, you can customize it, copy it, and add it to your library. -Kirk Cheryl Crane Wednesday, Sep 12, 2018 - 12:47 PM PDT Thanks for looking at this, Kurt. My naive understanding is that I can take a material and morph it into something quite different by using the material settings. I can then save this in My Materials Library. Is this incorrect?
  6. Thanks to all thoughts! Unfortunately, I won't be able to get back to finishing this plan until next Monday. Another thought on about the situation with this particular plan - It was a Save-AS from a 2350 Side View plan that I did a few years ago (I think X5). The 2350 plan was NOT staged with furnishings. Thanks you all again, ~C
  7. Oh, outside. Geeze that's how I control the greenish cast, and glare of PBR. Wow, I hate to hear this! The file will be H U G E if I used 3D exterior landscaping. I've not seen a fabric lampshade yet that didn't have SOME transparency. This is terrible news! Thanks, Graham.. I don't want to kill the messenger, so I'll stop. I do appreciate your thoughts.
  8. There are 3 lamps shown. Mick's are the Brass ones (not to worry, they say it's coming back). Mick's lamp on the left end is just as it was in the Library. The middle (stainless) lamp is the same one as yesterday. Mick's lamp on the Right is what happened when I changed to the CA Core Library Lighting White. It has an Emissive setting of a ridiculous 25000. Which is enough to make Sea Turtles lay eggs in North Alabama! Mick, thanks for taking your time and talent to help ferret this out!
  9. Mick, This has turned into a continuing Saga! Kirk thought that it might be in the Full Camera Default Setting. Sent him the Full Back-up File. It isn't an expensive house, sq and fairly simple. Clients are crazy over the look because of the houndstooth material on the recliner. Roll Tide Roll. (Alabama Grads) I don't know what I'll do for Auburn fans and War Eagle. Reboot Time.
  10. Mick, I'm anxious to get this into my Library - but can't for some reason! Downloads just fine, but I can't get it to show up after drag & drop onto a plan in CAX10. I have noticed that CA's go-to material for lamp shader is Bright White Sheer fabric. It has a Roughness of 90% and Transparency of 12% and Emissive of .19. I'm not a fan. I saw that this Orgel Table Lamp was imported into CaX2! Thank You for updating it! I'll continue to try to figure why I can't get see it in my Library. It's named MHD_Table Lamp Orbel right? It's easy to see why you are such a valued member of the CA community! TY ~C
  11. I played with the sun angles and Lumens, too.but kept getting missing items (the stem on the pendants also take flight.) Since you heavyweights don't immediately see the problem, I'll send it to Tech. Many, many thanks for the confirmation! ~Cheryl
  12. I think that it is in the Material settings for the pendant's shade. I don't like to see the bulb through the shade very much. Thanks for your time and thoughts. ~C
  13. Here's the stripped plan file. Thanks to all who try to help! Pendant_Shade_Problem..zip
  14. Solver, Thanks for looking. No, I've not sent it to Tech Support - yet. I'm going to do a 'save-as", and make the plan smaller to post here so you and others can see the materials, and play with it. I am guilty of 'User Errors' from time to time. ~Cheryl
