Getting Lighting Down using PBR - love editing on the fly!

It has been able to dim to both fin walls, and framing (inside, outside, and center) for a very, very long time. You'll find the settings for dimensions in the Defaults area (looks like a wrench) and also in the Wall Types settings where you set the Main Layer. Take a look at the videos on setting up defaults. CA is much more accommodating than 20-20 - the videos are a wonderful source to get you up to speed. My best regards, ~Cheryl

Derek, When I exploded the block, the light fixtures turned backwards. Doesn't this seem like odd behavior? Thanks for looking at it, ~Cheryl

Luxury Vinyl Flooring Catalog Needed
Cheryl_C_Crane replied to Cheryl_C_Crane's topic in Symbols and Content
Shaw's Floorte Pro, is a great product with an acoustical backing. I've tried to emulate this product. Thanks, Rene. Maybe it will come in as a Shaw manufacturers Catalog? I'm am surprised that we don't already have Shaw. -
I use the CA Cab Schedule all the time. Every time I make a cabinet that I may use again, I take the time to fill in the manufacturer, a Description, and the Nomenclature for that brand including spaces, dots, and hyphens. I add it to the Library under that Brand. Over 3 years this has saved me a lot of time. CA is so much faster to use in the design phase! You can actually be creative. CA produces renderings that are far superior to 20-20's. (And make sales) CA can produce As-Builts CA can produce the Framing needed to support the Cabinets. CA produces real Cross Sections. CA can produce a Lighting plan. CA can produce a Plumbing Riser CA can show a Duct system. CA has a decent CAD engine if you need to make a Detail. CA produces Con-Docs that Builders, Architects, and Engineers can instantly read and understand. 20-20 was developed for Box Jockeys - In my not-so-humble opinion. For a good chuckle, compare a CA Cab Schedule to a 20-20 Legend! Bah Ha Ha!

Luxury Vinyl Flooring Catalog Needed

Thanks, MIchael, That's what I've done, also. We have a gaggle of engineers here in Huntsville. I often hear, "That's EXACTLY what we like, where can we get it?" My usual answer, "Well, it is a suggestion." I'd like to be a bit more helpful. -
Has anyone found a Luxury Vinyl Flooring textures source? I'm looking for Plank, Tile, & Stone Looks. This material has been an overnight success in this market.

Flooring Quantities Include Area Under Cabinets
Cheryl_C_Crane replied to craboulas's topic in General Q & A
I agree that it's a regional thing, or a builder specific thing, or a customer preference thing. Somethings it may be driven by the material and whether it's a crawl space or slab. But, either way - a quick polyline will give you what you want! Where I was in Florida, the builder wanted "remodeling friendly" homes and installed ceramic tile wall to wall before cabinets. His cabinet vendor placed the shoe molding as part of the cab install. Here in Huntsville, AL, engineered hardwoods or luxury vinyls are commonly applied over crawlspace foundations, and after the cabinets 'so the flooring guy can do his shoe molding at the same time." Like Mark said, "Draw a polyline, or use a floor material region-open it will give you sq ft." -

PBR - how do I get rid of big white spot on the ceiling?
Cheryl_C_Crane replied to Cheryl_C_Crane's topic in General Q & A
Thanks, Mark. Again it was User Error and not Chief. I was only given 2 dim strings and asked to design a kitchen. I have no idea what is going on beyond the L shape so I drew an Invisible Wall. I've learned from this experience! Thanks again, ~Cheryl -

PBR - how do I get rid of big white spot on the ceiling?
Cheryl_C_Crane replied to Cheryl_C_Crane's topic in General Q & A
I added the lights using the various Lighting Libraries not from the 3D>Lighting>Add Lights. Never before have I seen a default interior blob light remain after this many additional room lights were placed. Thought that it was just a setting, but here is the file. Thanks to ALL, I sincerely appreciate your time, ~Cheryl Jackson Jason Kit (2).zipx -
PBR Rendering Reflections and Exposure Blowouts

Just to save a little time, I made a custom toolbar with the PBR settings. It only took a minute, but it has saved me a lot of hours.
