  7. The best way forward is to do both the roof planes, just like you did in the first picture. So they are centered on the house and windows. Then simply move back the front door side of the roof, and add a new roof over porch. Change its pitch to say 2 and then connect it to the house roof. As my awesome wife would say, "Va Va Va Voom Baby..!" -Dave
  8. Thanks for all the reply's - Have enough help now, thank you. Dave
  9. That was a fun one. I thought the easiest way to do this one is just using a nice thick molding. Windows.plan

  12. I run across ALL TYPES - needing just a roof fixed in Chief Architect, to those who need to draw 200 condos or a private 25,000 sq. ft. estate. What I am looking for is a team of people I can call upon to handle the workload I am unable to do. Seeing is how money is like candy here in Southern California and everyone here is ready to spend, I can not keep up with my current workload. So if you need work, and you know Chief Architect - then send me a request and some examples of work you have done... Dave
  13. Hey Guys, I am still getting a good deal of extra work sent my way and I can not seem to keep up. If you would like to join my team, please email me directly at davidmichaeldesigns@gmail.com Dave
  14. I have found that a simple polyline solid can do the trick quite nicely if you just line it all up. Takes just under a minute and you can create any shape you like. No roofs or attic walls, or drawing cad lines... Here is my model for review. test.zip
  15. I saw your roof planes were on level 1 - so I moved them to the second story / level, and added a dormer using the dormer tool. Like This
  16. I think if you just move the roof layer up one level all should be fine. I have a bunch of examples @ ChiefTutor.com Dave
  17. Wait - is there a way to move the entire program and all its folders to a different drive than the typical boot drive C..? Because Chief told me it has to run on your boot drive. I would love to put the library and all the Chief folders on another Drive. Dave
  18. I have a door like that at ChiefTutor.com Just make the side lights and set the whole thing to broken arch

  20. Thanks Perry, I was just now reading a post you did on Andy's Crashing issue, and you were explaining to Scott (in the way all of us smart ass people respond) "... then they kill themselves.." That struck me as so funny, I was on the ground rolling on that one. Tears of Joy! Is there a way we can give a THUMBS up on someone posting, that would be neat.
