  1. Hi, If I want to show a series of 3 boxed out windows across a wall similar to the attached photo (photo shows only one window, I will need wall space inbetween each of my 3). How could I achieve that? It does not appear to be possible to adjust the depth of the window in the window dbx. So, I tried these work arounds which have not quite achieved what I am after. 1. I tried making the exterior wall 15" thick and placed the 3 windows in it, which automatically makes the window depth correct and looks fine from the perspective views inside, but incorrect in plan view. 2. I tried boxing out the wall, but the depth of the window stays the depth of the wall and looks correct from plan view, but not perspective view. Same issue if I used the boxed out window tool from the window tools. 3. Garden window does not appear to allow adjustment of depth. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Susan
  2. Thank you. I had a feeling it was something like that. I've built cathedral ceilings using ceiling planes before, but they were always starting at the same height. This is a partial layout of the house showing the areas we are touching. The perspective is a bit distorted, but it gets the idea across. I need the ceiling plane to start at 129" on the left side of the room and 101" on the right side of the room. The peak is 166" with a 36" flat portion of ceiling at the peak. Thanks!
  3. I am drawing a master bath with a cathedral ceiling. The peak is 166". The ceiling starts at 129" on one side and 101" on the other. I'm sure there is a way to accomplish this, but I am stumped. I currently have it drawn so the ceiling starts at 129" on both sides and peaks at 166". Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you, Susan
  4. Joe, Thank you so much for finding this for me! Susan
  5. Hi, I think I remember seeing this topic addressed awhile back, but cannot locate the thread. I run X6 on a Mac and find that the dimensions that run vertically on my plan are not legible unless I zoom way in. I thought this was an issue solved by one of the last updates? Does anyone else have this problem? Thanks!
  6. Hmm, my title should have read: Rolled towels as seen in CA video "Sandstone Beam Bath"?
  7. I don't suppose anyone knows if these rolled towels (far left of screen shot) exist in CA? Before I spend the time building my own, I thought I'd ask. Thanks!
  8. Wow, why didn't I think to use a slab door and change it to glass?! That is brilliant! Thanks!!
  9. The Jamb tab options are grayed out, meaning I can not alter them. Is there something else I need to click first to get access to that tab?
  10. Not there. This is what I see in the "Jamb" tab.
  11. Thanks Joe. Well, I'm feeling pretty dense because I must be missing something very obvious. In X5 I remember being able to adjust the frame in the dbx, but in X6 I do not see that option. This is a .jpg of my dbx. Under which tab is the option to delete the frame hiding?
  12. Hi, In the past I've created glass shower doors (in a glass wall) with no trim, but this is the first time I've done it in X6. There used to be an option in the dbx to shrink the frame around the glass door down to nothing, but I can't seem to locate that option in X6. Am I missing something or remembering incorrectly? Thanks!
  13. Thanks for all of the suggestions!
  14. Hmmm, I was afraid that was going to be the answer.... Thanks!
  15. I don't suppose there is a work around for inserting another window when using the bay window tool? I need 2 windows mulled together in the middle of the bay rather than just one large window. I've drawn this bay from scratch with 2 windows, but thought I'd see if I could use the tool instead.
  16. Thanks Joe. Your suggestion was a big help.
  17. Hi, I am working on a master bath with a large bay. I am drawing it out and have all of my dimensions, yet am struggling to figure out the exact angle of the walls in the bay so that I can get all of the measurements to match (at least close). Is there a trick to this process? Thanks!
  18. I have Time Machine set up to my Time Capsule and that is actually where I found my User Library, but did not find other libraries in there. Fyi for everyone, Tech Support wanted to try a few more things to figure out the problem but I had already re-downloaded my Libraries. If this happens again, I will spend more time back and forth with them to see if we can figure out what causes this. Hopefully this won't happen again!
  19. Thank you everyone. I re-downloaded the Core Catalogs and I found my User Catalog using the Finder. The Manufacturer Catalogs and the Bonus Catalogs I will re-download off the website.
  20. Thanks. I have a ticket into tech support and trying to figure out what the problem is. The libraries had all been working fine for a week and then all of a sudden they were gone. It's not the filter, I've already checked that. Another odd behavior happens when I click on the magnifying glass - the list of catalogs disappears completely.
  21. I switched from the pc version to the Mac version of X6 last week so I'm a newbie to all of the subtle differences. I was working this afternoon with no issues, left for awhile and came back to my plan, clicked on one of my libraries and found that they were all completely empty. I tried rebooting, but no luck. Has anyone else had this issue?
  22. Hi, I just switched our office over from the pc version to the Mac version of X6 Premier and I'm discovering a few of the subtle differences. On the pc version I could select an object and hold down on the "Control" button to move it where ever I needed to. Does anyone know which key on the Mac will allow me to do the same? Also, the scroll bars along the side and bottom are hiding and I can't seem to figure out how to get them to show. I know this should be an easy answer, but I'm missing it! Any suggestions? Thanks! Susan
