  1. Our firm has 3 computers with Chief - all in different locations. We've been using Sugar Sync for several years now with no issues. We have a rule of one person working on the file at a time though. We use Google Hangout when discussing a Chief file over the phone which has been great.
  2. Hi, Our firm has 3 remote offices. I create the layout templates at my office and save them in a file in Chief. That file, along with our client files are all synced to Sugar Sync for the other two offices to access. When one of the other offices opens up my layout template, the logo cannot be found. Why is this? I have the logo saved in a file that is with the rest of the synced files in Sugar Sync. Shouldn't the other computers be able to access that when they open up the layout file? Any thoughts on how I can solve this? Thanks, Susan
  3. Thank you everyone. Your responses are a big help. We are going to go ahead and make the switch to the Mac version.
  4. Hi, Our office has been on Macs with Bootcamp for 4 years now. We are ready to move to the Mac version of X6. Couple of questions: 1. We will still have one PC. Will we run into any issues, other than font differences, if we work between the Macs and the PC? 2. When switching from the PC to the Mac version of X6, what is the best way to transfer files? We work with Sugar Sync. I assume we could download them onto the Mac version via Sugar Sync? Thanks, Susan
  5. I'm still finding this full wall to be very unstable and constantly needing to regenerate it with the f12 button every time I open up the plan. Is there something I'm missing with the settings, like a minimum or maximum distance to set the contraction distance for the winders? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Susan
  6. I managed to force it. Instead of nudging the wall, I clicked on the wall and specified that I wanted it to be 60". That seemed to work. Susan
  7. I have watched all of the staircase videos and am still struggling with a wall question. I have a staircase into a basement and the first 60", going down into the basement, is a full wall, then the railing begins. I understand how to get the wall to generate, by drawing the wall under the staircase, setting the contraction distance for the winders, and clicking on F12 to get the full wall to generate, but I am finding that it only works if the wall is a minimum of 74" long. If I try to make the wall 60" long, the full wall refuses to generate. Is this normal? Is there a minimum length that wall has to be in order to generate as a full height wall? Seems odd and I must be doing something incorrectly. Any thoughts? Thanks, Susan
