  1. Thanks JPC for looking, but I do not think that is it. It seems as if it is plan specific, I just can't figure out why.
  2. Please open both attached plans, do a full overview camera shot, turn into a water color...... note the EXTRA LINES in one of the water color drawings. Why is that? They are the same material, copied material from original plan to new plan, any ideas? I have included a pic of the two materials so you can see difference. So, two plans with same material, yet they appear differently in a water color.... why is that? pop wc material 1.plan.zip pop wc material ng 1.plan.zip
  3. Heck, I can barely talk to 1.6 people per day, let alone go out and do a site measure, draw as built conditions, design a remodel, draw CD's, submit plans, address the 367 comments back from the plan checker, address the 1 "minor" changes my client wants to make, review the changes with then engineer, get approval from the plan checker, make a quick pit stop into the men's room, and then bill the client for the changes. I just spent 1.5 hours on the phone with ATT trying to confirm an install date that was supposedly set up 3 weeks ago for today and now they are telling me it will not be installed until the 29th....... oops, the next person said the 30th...... just got a call from a 3rd person, they will be out this thursday between 8-4....... luckily I have tendonitus so I can not even think about playing my usual Thursday golf game..... instead I can wait all day Thursday for somebody to hook up my new high speed fiber optic internet service...... 10 times faster than time warner.... I need a vacation...... Bluesapalooza 2 weeks from now up in Mammoth..... then I will need a vacation from that.... fortunately I will be going to Idaho for the UGM in September, .........
  4. I still can't get on, thanks Kirk for working on it.
  5. I rebooted and still can not get on.
  6. Thank you, thinking the same thing. I could do these "look at what I did" threads all day long...... I do not have time for these games, let's share and move on.....
  7. Jon, is it working for you now? Still not working for me.
  8. Thanks guys, same problem X-6 will not open either, not good.
  9. Double enter hot key and see what happens.
  10. I did try to recreate the successful model, but I was unable to repeat the results. I probably could if I had spent more time, did a rain dance and said 7 Hail Mary's, but that should be unneccessary. Apparently I was very lucky the first time when I was successful, I must of luckily done everything correctly in the correct order. This might be a case of a SUPER WORKAROUND.
  11. Interesting, I opened the posted plan and it is not working. You can see by pic it was working until I guess I saved and reopened.
  12. Not perfect, but just about there. A little siding is shown inside room. Exterior render looks good, extra lines if vector used. Definitely not perfect. IVAN GABLE END 2.plan.zip
  13. I think there should be two tools. One to rotate an edge and another tool to rotate the polyine. I do not like having to use the double click method..... I wonder if there is an alt key we could hit while using the tool to toggle between the two options.
  14. I was talking with a Buddy a little bit ago, and he said things have been a bit tough for the last 9 months. Last year somehow I had my best year, but I would not say I have been buried. I don't want to be buried, so that is good. It seems like I have just enough work to keep me coming in every day which is a true blessing. It seems like there will be a spurt of new jobs, and then a lull, another spurt of new jobs and then another lull. I guess I keep busy during the lulls with the spurt of projects. So what is your experience? Are you guys buried or treading water?
  15. For the last two jobs, my client had to pay between 150 & 250 for Calcs. I think they are tired of doing the work for free. For big time clients, Calcs are free.
  16. I believe the downside to this is it will be unique to this plan, whereas with Joe's import method, any new or existing plan will have access to the macro. Isn't this so?
  17. This did catch me by surprise the other day. You are correct that if you do a non room def for an INTERIOR wall, it does not work, however for an EXTERIOR wall it does work. Apparently when I did this a while back, I tested on exterior wall and it did work. Thanks for clarifying this. I get it, not the greatest method of changing a wall material. Hopefully CA will fix this with X8.
  18. Thanks Jan..... BTW, if you go on to GOOGLE EARH PRO ...... you maybe able to save the dollar and get the same info, see pic.
  19. ....... netroline I believe covers all counties but until yesterday it did not work for me...... And today NETROLINE does not work, thanks to Alan L. I might have access to a plat map outside of San Diego County.
  20. You are absolutely correct.... I was being a bit lazy.
  21. Thanks Alan. I appreciate the help. I think I will also talk to Larry or Jan about using the San Diego Site, but as a back up for projects I work on in RIVERSIDE COUNTY, I have one going on up there right now, I will need something like FASTWEB which I assume covers more counties....... netroline I believe covers all counties but until yesterday it did not work for me...... good to have a back up like FAST WEB, thanks again Alan for what you can do.
  22. Joe, I imagine this is some really good stuff that somehow I think CA should provide. But, in any case, I really appreciate what you did, however, I do not how to use it. The attached pic shows what I have when I downloaded your file. Would you mind explaining how I use this in a plan, thanks a ton.
