I was wondering the same thing.

Drawing the walls is the first task we all learn. It is extremely easy. If you are having a difficult time drawing the walls, I suggest you find another program.

Interesting Joe, so you are saying in X5 I could of created a back clip cross section and then put that into a CAD detail. A while back, I thought about doing this and I tried to do this with no success. I am not sure why I wanted to do it and I am not sure of any advantages of being able to do this....... if I had to guess, I was probably playing with the idea of auto updatable back clip cross sections. As you implied, not sure if this ability is needed.

Yep. just a few of the advantages and I bet we can think of some more.
-
Schedules in CAD. No down side, not saying it won't work in plan, but CAD detail is very very easy.

Thanks so much D & G, got it.

sorry, do not understand, can you be clearer? thanks

How do I reset the tool bars to factory settings?
-
Back on, if it is not starting, let it try to start for several minutes, it should start.
-
I just made this mistake to restart because my tool bars screwed up again, can't get on. Maybe if I wait long enough.

Eureka, we have lift off!!!! What does this mean? No skin cancer, no sweltering in my home, instead I will sit in my nice cool office, watching the golf tournament and earning money, life can't get much better.
-
Still a no go for me
-
The upside to this is it is their problem and not mine. I would leave the office, but it is 99 degrees out here (for you Aussies dealing with Celius, that is very very hot). It's so hot there is no point turning on our undersized AC. I could go home and suffer or stay in my air conditioned office... or go to the pool and get skin cancer. Decisions, decisions........
-
Thanks Mick. Hey CA, this is not good guys!
-
Did you quit and the restart or have you always been on. I think they said if I waited long enough, something will time out and I can then get on. This is not good.
-
This occurred a couple of weeks ago. It is happening again . I cannot start Chief. I have rebooted etc., anyone else having this problem?
-
And the winner is...... Glenn of course.

Frustrating behavior, I wish I did not have to click to activate...... but life could be worse.

I keep all interior elevation cameras, I never delete them, I use them for the next project. I put these cameras on their own layer. I open camera dbx and specify which floors I want these cameras to show on. Each camera is displayed on only one floor.
-
If you want to keep the roof planes on different levels, learn to use ref sets.

If you can tell me the advantage of the TEMPLATE METHOD over THE SAM METHOD, and the advantage of THE SAM METHOD over THE TEMPLATE METHOD, I will give you some advice. Each method has a distinct advantage over the other method.
-
Totally agree, the only advantage is you can trace the walls. If you can't get a dxf to trace, import a pdf of the plans and trace that. You do not need the dxf file, an imported pdf of the plans is as good as it gets.

Or draw a line at the angle you want camera, now when you use camera, start at one end of line and end at other end
-
I think they are the same, you might ask Joe, he might feel differently.

Really? Did you check it out?
