  1. The soffit actually should follow the Sub Fascia but it seems there is something wrong as your settings should be working. Did you change something without reframing ?
  2. If this one would work for you it is available from Chief... Bathroom Fixtures No.5 Commercial https://www.chiefarchitect.com/3d-library/index.php?r=site/detail/1122
  3. Sounds like you need to jump into your Terrain Configuration toolbar and choose a tool there that fits the situation you are trying to create such as a driveway or some other terrain feature.
  4. Interesting. You might be correct as I did not rush to update all my catalogues with x15. Sad that the symbol has been down graded if that is in fact what happened. Give this one a try: Old Diagonal Brace Door.calibz
  5. Yes it can be painted or go to the materials tab of the door.
  6. Actually Chief has one that might work in the "Doors No. 1 Sliding Barn" Bonus Catalog.
  7. Yes maybe not quite as easy as Sketchup but using all the cad tools and or moldings etc. to create it in 3D.
  8. Yes build the doors in chief and apply the different materials prior to creating the door symbol and then they can continue to be adjusted independently.
  9. I think that is a common problem when using two devices with different screen resolutions. You should be able to search the answer here on the forum as others have experienced it as well even though I have not. If I recall the solution is to simply multi select your text boxes and then open and reclose them which should fix the issue.
  10. No setting for that sorry. It could be a keyboard issue or perhaps you are bumping into something on the left ? Check the up and down keys to see if they are ok.
  11. Yes you can cut a cross section and crop out what you want to show and even auto detail it and have it live. Or you can create an editable cad detail from view for a more traditional black and white detail with cad tools.
  12. Hi Ben, Is that something that has changed in one of the more recent versions ? Also how would the 1/300 in. correspond to an actual line weight # using the default Drawing Sheet Setup of 1/100 mm ?
  13. Thanks Ryan, It seems to be a template issue but I just can't seem to find the problem so I sent it to tech support.
  14. Thanks Ryan, Yes I have made adjustments as others have suggested in other threads to the drawing sheet line weight scale all the way from 1/50mm to 1/1000mm and it makes no difference to this situation. I found out very late last night that printing with "Adobe PDF" driver does seem to handle the line weight issue but then makes a mess that must have something to do with line endcaps so I am not really any further ahead.
  15. I an not sure I have had this issue before but can't seem to be able to send a line weight less than about 16 to PDF. Even a 1 or a 0 prints out the same as a 16. Printing at 600 dpi. with Chief Architect Save As PDF and a Drawing Sheet line weight of 1= 1/100 mm. Even 4000 dpi. does not have any improvement. Layout Line scaling or not gives the same result.
  16. It looks to be updating to me but it is not auto correct everything software. You need to increase the fascia size when you increase the rafter size and sub fascia.
  17. I would try changing that to 1/16" and see what happens. Unfortunately Grid Rounding can show an error as much as you have your Smallest Fraction set to in my testing under some situations, so you may want to eliminate that possibility by switching to Distance Rounding and see if that resolves it, or part of it. Again these are all guesses without the plan file.... Surely you can clip a kitchen island out of a plan file without breaching client confidentiality. Or wait a week for tech support to respond. I have had quite a few responses from tech recently that just say "why not post it on the forum".
  18. Maybe set your grid snaps to 1/8" and see if that helps other wise you may need to post the plan. If your grid snaps are set to 1" and you try a 1/8" adjustment it may not allow it. Or turn off snaps temporarily.
  19. Very true. Of all the ones that you see posted on the forum it seems that there are really only two or three that users feel are acceptable to use generically.
  20. I think your best option would be to draw that as a door with a raised sill.
  21. Yes you can get all of that with a referenced macro. Joe has one available if it is not your thing.
  22. Long shot would be to drag the front wall over the rogue side wall and see what happens.
