Yup, definitely check the settings on those then.
-
Not likely a template issue as there is no default for that. Walls can also be easily tweaked in 3D by mistake. Not saying that is what happened but it can happen.
-
Humm... Try this perhaps: If you are not dealing with walls it may not be possible to be seamless and you would need to use a standard camera view or plot lines that can be edited in layout.
-
So it does not seem to work at all in x15 ? Maybe I should have posted some of the crazy results in x14.
-
Ok that does work. It seemed that it should but everything else needs to fall in line.
-
Any other settings involved there Glenn ?? It does not seem to work for me. Alcove perhaps ? Extend Slope does not seem to limit the overhang.
-
Or if you want to keep things automated you can create a "Roof Baseline Polyline" and edit that.
-
You can post a zip file for Glenn or a simplified version of your plan the exhibits the same issue. I can't get a logical setting to work though so my solution would be to use "Extend Slope Downwards" and then edit the roof polyline and don't leave any extra nodes.
-
Ooops.. I just tried that and it did not work the way I expected it to. You may need to manually adjust the roof polyline.
-
Try adjusting the roof overhang in the Roof tab of the Wall DBX.

"surface mount" EMT RECEPTACLES AND SWITCHS x15 & x12

Very nice, great work. Thanks for sharing. -
A little more East than West. And definitely not the usual. I think we simply skipped spring all together. Heat one week and AC the next.
-
Try Plan View Scale Mike. See if that helps.

Exporting layout to PDF converts images to Grayscale
Chopsaw replied to DefinedDesign's topic in General Q & A
Sorry I don't have a Mac but it should be the same I would think ? -
Sorry you might be correct. My signature is actually current. It is just me that is currently out of date. The op was asking about x12 but if it does not work in x15 send it in by all means.

That is a preference setting. Appearance > Display > Images and Pictures: > "Display in Color when Possible" -
Yes it does work for images in layout at least as far back as x8. Just as DB describes. However it did get broken at some point and has since been fixed.

Sure. ALDO > Cabinets, Soffits > Line Style:

Soffits can work depending on the situation.

Is there a way to print with the reference grid on?
Chopsaw replied to J_Mack's topic in General Q & A
Thanks Michael. I was starting to think no one understood my response. My thinking on the snaps was to lock the perimeter to to the snap grid and have a visual reference that things were aligned. -
In Terrain Specifications > General turn off " Hide Terrain Intersected by Building". Then let us know what version you are using as you will need to delete the "grass" from the basement afterwards.

Maybe you could update your signature and add your computer specifications to it ? If you open up task manager while the process is running you will see what components of your system are being stressed. If you are running windows anyway ? Most likely a CPU and HD bottleneck but not exactly sure.

Chopsaw replied to J_Mack's topic in General Q & A
Short answer is no. I have found the best way to reproduce that effect is to use polyline hatching so you have control of the spacing and line style etc. Just be sure to have grid snaps on when you place the perimeter.
