  1. I don't think there's much to add. There simply is no default setting for angular dimensions. It's as simple as that. Its a longstanding gripe of many users. I personally don't care all that much though because I very rarely use the tool. Totally guessing at this, but I'd say I probably only ever use it once or twice on every 3rd job. When I do, it takes about 3 second to open it up and change the angle style. The bigger deal to me is that lack of control over rounding accuracy. Even that though I put pretty far down my list. I honestly only ever need to change that on probably 1 out of 10 angular dimensions I place at most. Easy enough to overlay text in those situations.
  2. Because it's completely unrelated.
  3. Ah, yes. I see what you're saying. It's always round to the nearest 1/16". This isn't a problem with most cabinets I've tested and would be fine with most cabinets we use, but it could definitely be an issue with others. Good catch. Have you reported this particular issue?
  4. Okay, so a bit more testing and I see what's happening...at least for cabinet styles I've quickly tested... Cabinet attributes aren't properly getting refreshed unless there's a total rebuild. Only way I can seem to force this is through a Cut/Paste of the cabinet(s) or an Undo/Redo. Very strange and I will report. Panel sizes seem to be reporting perfectly accurately as long as the cabinet attributes get refreshed.
  5. Okay. So, just as a followup, I realized I lied. It is possible. As I recall, Chief wasn't reporting those panel sizes correctly last time I tried, but they seem to be reporting just fine now.
  6. If you want to use the Material List then this definitely changes things a bit. Also, just FYI you don't need to Export. You can simply copy and paste directly. Give it a shot.
  7. Door opening lines are a hard coded, dashed line style. The Help files actually specifically describe them as being DASHED lines.
  8. You are correct. I was assuming it was just a standard railing....thus my "never mind". Doesn't look like those pony walls work quite the same. It would be a lot easier of people would just post plans.
  9. Never mind. Looks like you're trying to do something a little different than I thought.
  10. Don't screw with the bounding box size. You need to include a custom countertop cutout (Hole In Countertop) in the 2D Block.
  11. Just like any other wall set to Follow Stairs, it has to be on top of the stairs, but yes, it works.
  12. Read the invites you send out Scott. They should include something like... ... Please join my meeting from your computer, tablet or smartphone. https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/836869109 You can also dial in using your phone. United States: +1 (669) 224-3412 Access Code: 836-869-109 ...
  13. Yes. You are. GTM provides an option to call in to their system using a phone. They're not calling you. They're calling into the meeting using a special phone number and access code provided by GTM.
  14. There's actually not. It can be automated to a certain extent but for accurate door and drawer panel dimensions there has to be direct user input one way or another based on the specifics of each cabinet and it's specific openings and panels. Some of this can be sped up by creating and storing re-used cabinets and/or appropriately named panels but it's a lot of manual work no matter what you do. If and when Chief gives us a Collection of individual openings and their panels, then it would be possible. Not now though.
  15. That wouldn't work because there can be multiple baselines. It can only use one (and I think it just uses the highest of the 2). Because they had to pick something to use. It could have been anything really. Why not just be consistent and use same In From Baseline?
  16. There are 2 main reason I've seen this occur. One is because of Chief's addition of the Measurement class and the other is because of Chief's full implementation of unicode.
  17. I have this happen from time to time. It seems related to nothing more than the clipboard having a bad day. At any rate, I think you can usually fix it by rebooting, but I also think it will fix itself if you copy and paste something in the problem window. Then go back and try your original operation again. It should work. At least that's how I remember resetting the clipboard when that happens. It doesn't seem to happen often enough for me to remember how to deal with it, so I always have to try one or 3 things before I get it.
  18. I see that you have X12. Is there a reason you haven't just continued the plan in X12?
  19. Code is the same here. Measured from the nosing.
  20. I glanced at Mark's plan and something he had in there made me realize that it actually can be quite a bit quicker to use Delete Surface to create a symbol out of an actual cabinet for this particular scenario. I only ran through it once so the process is a little messy, but you'll get the idea...
  21. Eric was suggesting a method of posting a stripped own version of the plan, not a solution to your problem.
  22. For that scenario you'll not only have to spin that around every which way but you'll also have to use the Alt key to limit which faces you're deleting. Way more time consuming than it's worth. In my opinion, just build from scratch.
  23. Although I do think it makes sense as it works, I can also agree that the information in the Help files on this particular roof style is oddly generic and pretty minimal. It looks like it was just pulled from the Tutorial Guide and as such there's no context.
