My auto exterior shows wall widths. I often use interior dims to suppress the wall width. But you can select the dim & turn that on/off

Wow, big government. It is always embedded in the model number but that may be a rounded off number. https://www.energyvanguard.com/blog/75898/How-to-Determine-the-Size-of-Your-Central-Air-Conditioner

I just had the same issue. Deleted the roof & attic walls & rebuilt the roof & gables were OK again. I lowered the floor below by 4" which may have been the culprit. Not sure though.

FYI Thank you for contacting Technical Support Services. Unfortunately, we do not have a setting right now that stops this from occurring. I will pass this along to our development department to look into further and possibly resolve in a future version of the software. I would continue to manually adjust those framing members that are too tall. Best regards, Technical Support Analyst

I think I asked this before but can't remember the answer. The wall surrounding the Open Below room frame down into the floor area where I have a floor truss. Is there a setting that stops this extended wall? I have in the past just modified the framing in the wall detail but would like a better solution. Thanks

Just to be clear, using the "job_info" macro with all the global variables, do you need to execute it somehow? Or just having the macro in the macro list is enough to initialize the values?
-
So if I understand the request you would have one json file for constants like this: # my job constants $wallInsulation = "R-19 Batt Fill" $wallFraming = 24 and so on And include the macros like this? "UserDefinedMacro": { "Name": "Railing Exterior", "Value": "42\" Guard Rail", "ShouldEval": false, "Context": "none", "RubyAPIVersion": 1 }, I know I do not have the syntax correct but I have seen all macros in one json file. Perhaps I miss understood the request.

Font for free or must I buy it? Century Gothic
ACADuser replied to GeneDavis's topic in Symbols and Content
The width is a big deal for me. That's why I use Arial Narrow for standard text & Arial with Bold set for most titles. Arial Black is a bit much but could be used in titles. -

https://itstillworks.com/13345980/adding-fonts-to-coreldraw Personally I'm an Arial Narrow & Arial Bold fan Also, Arial Black if I need it to really pop. -
FYI I just reversed a single-story clubhouse plan & the 90 deg text did not assume the correct rotation although it was in the correct location. The electrical behaved well and the framing did ok but was a mono slope roof so not much to go wrong. What did go wrong was that I saved the new plan with 'R' in the name while the Layout file was open. I figured Chief would change the layout boxes to the correct file. This did not happen. Worse was that I used "Saved Plan Views" in this layout & they did not update to the new plan name. So beware. (out to lunch)

Thanks, Ryan that solved the problem.

So the only way is to make pony walls on the 2nd floor? Did you do that with the balcony railing wall too?
-
I can not get the correct combination of setting to make the 2nd floor diaphragm to be all stucco over CMU. It must have something to do with the railings but I can not get the setting correct. I am able to get the correct look above the CMU wall but not over the railing walls. Maybe I'm using the wrong wall type? Vincent Reverse.zip

Maybe this

Another nice video Steve! Thanks

You are correct, Thanks. Find & Replace to the rescue. (thank you Chief)

Thanks all. Once I got the camera positioned correctly I could move the solids as needed. Mark, the detail of that item was not critical but yes I do separate items to keep lines from disappearing. I have the beams in place now & will be cleaning up the framing.
-
Thanks for the tip. I think my issue was not having the section camera capturing the entire object.

I'm trying to move solids, see attached. The end faces need to be aligned and arranged like the picture. I have tried several views & am having trouble snapping to the corners & moving them into place. Solids.zip

Thanks for the lesson on pline subtraction. I suppose I could block the remaining objects so I can make fine adjustments to the length. Too bad we can not create the Insulation block though.
-
I was wondering. Making blocks to simulate (2d detailing) metal framed wall studs, I use a rectangle & 2 interior lines with a short dash line style. This works well but is there a way to add the punched flat oval or rectangle AND have it stretch line insulation does? The insulation maintains it's symmetry. Currently, I use several blocks at different lengths & I can stretch them a little without distorting the oval too much.
