  1. Perhaps I'm missing something here but the Chief catalog has several sectionals that have individual pieces. Could you use a similar piece that can be edited as you wish? I'm assuming the MFG sectional has no separate items?
  2. I've run across many engineering graphs that use a different scale for X than Y. Gives me a head ache. The worst are Metal Building Plans. They use a funky way to depict column base plates. They are not to scale for the floor plan they are in.
  3. I have had contractors with their own printer/plotter and that is where the problems start. The print shop I use NEVER uses "Print to Fit" printer settings.
  4. How about? Warning: If this 1" square is not exactly 1" in both direction the sheet was not printed properly. Do not scale drawings under these conditions.
  5. So you would have to rebuild / add back handles & hinges. Seems odd that these components would not be in the mulled unit.
  6. Tip: Watch as many videos as you can. You will see many tricks along the way.
  7. Oops! That defeated the purpose. The door sch is missing items?
  8. Thanks Ryan, I did add those to the entry doors. But this is an interior door. It's not too often I use a double door for an electrical closet as it is usually a room. Thanks for the tip Rene
  9. I have an electrical room that needs one dead bolt on a double door. But Chief adds dead bolt to each door. Is there a setting for this condition?
  10. I'm not sure why could not see it. I should have said "Plan View" Thanks Chop for pointing me in the direction.
  11. I see in the plan view framing header member the fill option is "Default" but where is the default set up at?
  12. I need a teak plank floor for a bathroom shower. Installing a floor material region where I need it but Teak Material is solid. Should I use Deck Planks? I guess I need to create a deck to get the planks.
  13. No the gap was Chief, so I added the post to cover it. Probably need a post anyway.
  14. The issue in the picture above is solved by another post or redo the symbol with 1" ends on the grid. That one has 1" ends. With a post the spacing is nice.
  15. Thanks Mick. I may give up on the boundary. Here is may progress so far. The panel is still messing with me. But I did build s gate. Wire Mesh 72.calibz
  16. This afternoon I'm messing around with this railing panel. I see that making a 6' high rail I need a 6' high symbol as Chief stretches in the vertical direction. In the horizontal direction Chief overlaps the pattern. But I wanted 1" gap left & tight. My mesh has 1" overlap on the left & right but the railing shifts the pattern. How do I get that side margin? Wire Mesh.calibz
  17. Good find Glen. Is there a way to scale that symbol?
  18. How can you use that on a railing?
  19. How did you make the mesh transparent? The one on the left is my psolids creation. Working with solids in Chief is a PITA. The one on the right is the Sq mesh applied to a psolid.
  20. Anyone have anything like this? I need to make a 6' fence & gate plus some large panels to grow vines on. Looks a little like Chain link turned 45 deg.
  21. Object Name. The door has no symbol to edit that I see. I just selected the exterior door & used the Add to Library tool.
