  1. Follow up on response from tech support - Thanks for bringing this up to our attention again. We are actively trying to find a way to prevent this from happening.Thank you for mentioning your Monitor resolutions. Do you keep them at the (Recommended) Scale and layout? You can view your these settings by clicking your Windows menu and then going to Settings. In the Settings page run a search for Display and click the option for “Change the resolution of the display” the Scale is it set to 100% (Recommended) or have you customized it. for the Display resolution is it also using the value with (Recommended) next to it or have you customized it?Another factor that seems to be related to toolbars acting up is if you have your library browser undocked or “floating” separate from the main Chief Architect Window. Do you typically work with your Library Browser undocked?
  2. Thanks Ed- I just talked to Roy at tech support and he did mention keeping browsers docked on primary display- Not particularly convenient to the way I work but will do for now. He also mentioned Carrie is working on my ticket and this is an issue that CA is aware of so I am sure we will get it worked out
  3. Copy of additional info just sent to tech support. New development- Still having issues with tool bars tweaking out as previously reported but it does not appear to be particularly associated with any one type of view being moved from one monitor to another. Additionally if I close CA X12 and restart the program the toolbars in plan view come back somewhat close to the way I had them set prior to the issue taking place. Appears all tools are present but have moved around slightly.
  4. Thanks Chris- after the last time I did save a clean set of my toolbars - hopefully will be able to bring them in smoothly
  5. Just sent it in - I saw the Ed from CA had been looking into it and thought he may have had some luck.
  6. Follow up- It appears that Plan view toolbar was the only one affected- elevation- 3d -layout tools currently in tact.
  7. Ok just happened again. Just opened a new layout file and set it up for a job - then drug it to adjacent monitor and original plan screen toolbar tweaked our- see attached screen shot. Has tech support had any luck with this- Hard to be productive when you have to rebuild toolbars all the time
  8. Jumping in because I am having the same issue. I upgraded to X12 a month or so ago and had it happen a couple times but finally got toolbars set up the way I liked and locked. No issues until yesterday- then similar story to what others have noted. Plan and Layout open with a couple 3d views - drag one 3d view to 2nd monitor and toolbars on 1st monitor crunch to upper right corner with limited tools showing. I have read through the posts above an it sounds like we have the "A" team working on the issue at this point so I will keep an eye on the progress. If it happens again I will try and capture a screen shot of the display and post - please let me know if there is any other information I can provide that may help. Much appreciated
  9. Will certainly be leaving it on from here forward.
  10. Thanks Michael- I had never used them before in plan and not seen them in the preview pane until now. Much appreciated
  11. Where is the option to display Start and End in plan and preview pane? I looked in preferences and default options but did not see anything.
  12. YEP- that definitely qualifies as stupid question Much appreciated
  13. I am sure this qualifies as a dumb question but I jumped from X10 to X12 and there are a few basic items that are new and I am getting up to speed on. Can someone tell me what the E and S are referencing in the wall preview pane?
  14. Thanks Eric- As usual that was the first thing I tried- did not turn anything up that directly addressed SPV templates. Would appreciate a link to a thread that covers it if you know of one.
  15. Probably a bit of an old topic but one question I have regarding Saved Plan Views is any sort of a SPV template- and not the one that is OOTB from CA X12. Do most of you create a series of base SPV's that are your go to for the majority of your designs and save them with your plan templates? And if so, is there a way to copy or export those to use in an existing plan- or will plans brought forward from pervious version need to have SPV's created for each. Much appreciated
  16. Late to the party as usual but after seeing Joey's comment on moving over to SPV's I am guessing that I will need to as well. 17. Guessing this is feature in X12? I was working in X10 but will move this project tom X12 if that is the case.
  18. Western Window systems has a multi-slide pocket door system I have used before an I was wondering if anyone has a SKP symbol or similar they would share. Much appreciated REAR POCKET DOOR INFO -1.pdf
  19. Will post in Symbols also but thought I would take a run at it here. Western Window systems has a multi-slide pocket door system I have used before an I was wondering if anyone has a SKP symbol or similar they would share. much appreciated REAR POCKET DOOR INFO -1.pdf
  20. I tried looking up a previous thread for a 2 hr fire separation detail but was wondering if anyone has a simple one in CAD form they might share. Thanks in advance.
