Eric, all good and followed your "Extract All" selection, there were 4 materials that had no joints, ie brickwork, tiling & paving's yet they were indicated in the BU File,
why was that, and I had to transfer them individually as well, seems weird.

Neil:
After you did your file B/U, did anything about the materials in question change? This could include file name, location or even modifying the content (this was the cause when the same thing happened to me recently with a file I shared). Did you use a file transfer service such as Dropbox to send the file? Sometimes some information can be lost if there is an interruption in the upload process.

Checking "Keep Pattern/Texture in Sync" means you can do it in either.
Either way works.
-
Make the adjustment in the 'Texture' tab.
-
Try this - In your wall type definition for the dormer, you can specify a material of your choice for the interior walls. Specify vertical siding and then set it at a 45 degree angle.
-
I applied this material (attached) to a concrete driveway.
There are also a few available on 3D Warehouse (pretty big files) https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/search/models?q=grass+pavers

I have a symbol like that in my user library from a project I did a few years ago. I'll send it to you when I get back to the office.

I need to export a CA Plan to my laptop for a demonstration and on some previous tasks some materials were missing, I have done at least 20 searches and every time the videos that are listed have no relevance to the question that's put forward, I can ask any question on google and receive a myriad of options available, is there a specific language I need to know, so how do I ensure that all materials are attached the the Plan.
After you downloaded the file (full file BU), did you right click on your file and select 'Extract All'?

You can specify separate materials for the upper and lower sections of a pony wall. Use a glass shower wall at the top or just a framed wall with windows.
-
You might be able to make it from a top hinged cabinet or try 3D Warehouse for a symbol.

Looking at the wall in a cross section view, use the edit handles to drag the wall.

Renderings are my specialty, give me a call on Monday if you'd like to discuss. See my website for samples, link is in my signature.

In addition to my earlier suggestions, here's a few more thing to check:
- Do you have any light sources switched on? The more you have, the longer it takes Chief to respond, turn off lighting in areas not visible to your camera.
- Symbols with a high surface count (often imported ones) can also slow you down.
- When working on a file with a PBR view open, I usually set the sample size to 10 or less.
- How often do you clean up your hard drive? It helps to run disc cleanup regularly.
- Here's a great article from the Knowledge base that covers this topic in more detail: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00521/troubleshooting-slowness-in-chief-architect-plans.html

Some things to check:
- Make sure your video card driver is up to date
- The slow library response can be caused by checking 'Include Web Results' (to the right of the library search bar)
- If you have a rendering window open, if it's in PBR mode, that can slow things down. If you want to view in PBR while working on the file, reduce the sample size and click on 'Cap Live Samples'

Are we really all going to pretend that Chief doesn't have a problem with garage door sills? or entry door sills?
That's the purpose of my work around.

You could also drag the driveway slab closer to the garage door so that it covers the section of garage floor that is showing. Or just make both the garage floor the same material as the driveway.

A couple of questions on this actually. First question, can these only be fixed, I am assuming so. 2nd, should this be considered one unit, the schedule calls out two. 3rd, how is this framed? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Have you seen this article on corner windows? https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00673/creating-corner-windows.html

Th first thing I would check is if the driveway slab is at the same level as the garage floor.

Gentlemen, heard nothing for a while but still no answers to my initial question, I have:-
1.Followed Chris's comments regarding the tile size and Zero Pattern.
2.Followed Rob's comment and tried his and other similar configs.
3.Followed Dustin's comment and nothing changed.
4.Downloaded Substance Player as per Eric's suggestion, downloaded main program, couldn't add The Tile Builder as it kept coming up as can't recognize, gave up after about a dozen tries,
In every case it appears that the selected Texure fills the slab area without any joints, this just expands the texure to the slab and gives a distorted image totally to the original
material, surely this issue can't be that complex??

Neil:
As you are having trouble adding Tile Builder, give this site a try https://www.stonecurators.com/stone-designer/ (it was buried at the bottom of my earlier post so perhaps you missed it). It's easy to use (nothing to download), provides plenty of options and produces impressive results.

Try this:
- Right click the object
- Select 'Transform / Replicate Object'
- You can then move or rotate the item through the commands in the DBX

It really depends on the type of project it is. I've done numerous residential developments which involved creating several different styles of buildings, each in their own file and then converting them into symbols and placing each symbol in it's assigned position in the master plot file. I've also done several single family residences which include a main house and a separate ADU or maybe a pool house. In these cases, I've kept everything in a single file because the design for each structure is always evolving throughout the life of the project and I find it easier to keep it all in one place since an auxiliary structure (garage, pool house, ADU) can't be edited if I bring it in as an imported symbol.
There's really no right way or wrong way. it all depends on the needs of each project.

I made a few adjustments to lighting and materials then ran the PBR for 250 samples. I also did a little post work in MS Photos. I would have done more with materials but you wanted 'out of the box' so I kept it simple.
