  1. I still have a working HP110 that I use primarily for all 24x36 prints. I ditched the all in ones from HP for a Brother MFC J6920dw that is great for my 11x17. Two paper trays so I can load one with 11x17 and one with 8.5x11. Much better on ink than the HP machines. Very interested in upgrading my large format too since I do a lot of printing (6 sets yesterday) and the 110 is really slow.

  2. I have a main monitor that is a 30" Dell. Money well spent. The second monitor is a cheap 27". I have not used 3 monitors but some people like it. Since I can't do three things at once (one at once is often a stretch) I suspect the 3rd monitor would just distract me. I have the main window of CA on the main monitor and the library and project browser remote.  A budget of 2-3k for the cpu memory and graphics card is respectable. This all depends on your back up storage system and if you choose a really large SSD drive for loading programs. Get at least 256 SSD if you get one or else it will fill too fast.

  3. Lady, you need to sketch out what you are trying to achieve. That building is not working very well at the moment. If your plate height currently is what you want for the roof then the rooms upstairs are unusable. The plate height for the upstairs rooms probably need to start at about 60" minimum for those spaces to have a fighting chance.

  4. The things that make that more real looking would be better textures and using bump maps. Search the forum for some great threads recently regarding grass textures. If you can put a bump map on your roof that would really help since you see so much roof.

  5. I could not get any of these library doors to take muntins. The window took the muntin fine horizontal but did not take one vertical. Is there a minimum size setting for lites that I am unaware of?
