Ask the contractor first the GC probably gets job leads from the architect GC finds out u went behind he's back ? Talking to the owner all of the GC on this forum know what they would do, the GC will probably do the same think, good luck . -

Room divider has no thickness invisible wall does in X6 is a room divider

I would use a polyline solid ,but instead of drawing the polyline solid in plan view I would draw it in an elevation view spanning the distance , when you draw a polyline solid in an elevation view you can shape it in the elevation and then you can set the thickness , check knowledge base polyline being drawn in an elevation
