If the fireplace is metal than I make it out of rooms, if its masonry then I make it out of solids.

A long time ago it was fixed but somewhere along the way it broke again. I never use it either.

Any of you guys with the latest NVidia drivers (340.43) having a problem with the watercolor settings being real dark and not usable. Not sure if its Chief or NVidia. This is only with the newest last couple of drivers, and I haven't changed the watercolor settings since X6 came out.

I use the macro for that so you can put it anywhere.

I know a few days ago Nivdia came out with a new beta driver, you might want to try that one. For about a month now the NVidia drivers have been in

conflict with the watercolor settings( very dark). Nothing else is affected. Not sure if it's them or Chief, but very dark and almost un-usable. I wish

someone from Chief could confirm this.

Open X5 and insert your symbol in a plan save it then open X6 and open that plan file, then you can save it to your X6 lib.

Until Chief comes up with a real board and batt siding I will be using something close from the lib. Just too much work, I'll just note the correct siding for now. You can adjust the texture to get 24" or 16" batts.

Colors will look different on different monitors anyway, I don't think you can have it perfect no matter what you do.

Maybe your handle size is set to zero?

There will be sometimes you will want to delete cookies. I also have them turned off in CC but every few months I do a full cookie clean. I then have to log in but only once.

Is that wall a no roof def wall?. I think it will only center in a room.

Not lately.

The master template is the profile plan and layout that comes with the program.

I get that very rarely ,Not sure why but I just re-start chief and everything ok. No time to investgate, just keep going.

There is really nothing other than just setting up the program, the way you want it, then saving that as a template plan.  We all have had to do it but, you only have to do it once unless you want several templates.

when I do "Save as" I add date/time to the file name

 

so that would mean that I end up with way too many files on Dropbox

and would end up using way too much space

 

if I skip doing the date/time then I would be replacing earlier versions

and then have issues if I decided to go back to an earlier version

 

I just think it would be better to save to a regular folder on my HD first

then move the final work session file to dropbox for syncing

 

right now this is all theory as I don't have other devices to sync to

so I don't need to save anything to the cloud

 

just expressing concerns about saving directly to the cloud

Chief's archives , after saving to dropbox you would still have copies in the My doc.s folder as usual.

You will still have the older one's in the archive's
