dssharp 15 Posted April 10, 2016 I looked and couldn't find anything. Maybe try a cad line centered at the footing. Then dimension to that.
Greg_NY61 94 Posted April 11, 2016 There is dimension to interior centers and there is dimension to framing centers... have you tired that?
nick66 1 Posted April 11, 2016 Yeah I tried both of those settings it still did not Dimension to the center exterior wall. I just manually Drew cad lines in and centered them in on the footing and dimensioned to those. If you guys know of a simpler way please let me know
Greg_NY61 94 Posted April 11, 2016 Is there a reason why you want dimensions to the center line of your exterior wall? The reason I'm asking is because I never ran into a situation when that measurement would be relevant to anything in real or in the program.

I'm trying to Dimension to the center of my exterior footing. Any suggestions I think the only way to do what you're asking for with auto dimensions is to create a wall type with 2 main layers of equal sizes and set it to dimension to the exterior of the inside layer. Maybe consider using Point To Point or Centerline dimensions instead.
nick66 1 Posted April 11, 2016 I'm wanting that dimension for the backhoe to dig the footing. That way they can run stakes for the center of the footing. This is for my foundation.
glennw 985 Posted April 11, 2016 I don't think you can get auto dimensions to do that. But you should be able to edit the auto dim lines and they will snap to the wall centreline. http://screencast.com/t/y9Fy6F8ruHQp
