HumbleChief
Curious about which you prefer. I used Live Views in the earlier releases and had some problems and have never returned. I now use plot lines with shadows, no color, sun set to follow camera. How about you?
johnny
Since profile lines are kinda painful to apply in CA, the live view full color (then convert to greyscale) allows my elevations to pop with the shadows. Since there is no such thing as "plotters" really anymore, why not use greyscale I say.
DRAWZILLA
For elevations,I use plot lines (no color), shadows turned on. For sections--no shadows. This way it prints in grayscale much better than color. color tends to print much darker and can hide things you want people to see. Live views can slow down your work speed, unless you have a top of the line computer. I set those to "On demand" only.
javatom
Plot lines are the way to go. I had a client send me a CA project to complete. He had a lot of live views and pdf and jpeg. The layout and plan files were 170 meg. I have a screaming fast computer so it was no problem but an average system could not handle it at all.
