ArchieD
Hi, Could anyone quickly take a look at the file I've attached and tell me why my dimensions are grayed out? Sometimes the numbers appear at first but when I move my cursor, they quickly turn into blocks of gray, and I can't seem to get them back. Thanks! Alaskan_Son
You might want to attach the plan for a better answer, but on the surface, it kinda looks like it might be a video card issue.
DougMaddox
Had the same problem here and yes, it was a video card problem. When I upgraded to Windows 10, it set my video card to the on-board card in my laptop, not to the Nividia Card. Changed that setting and all ok. DRAWZILLA
You might just want to use that NVidia card.
ArchieD
Thanks VERY much for the video card info. I followed instructions to update my video card driver through Intel, and, while in the end it said I couldn't do it, somewhere along the way, my dimensions miraculously began appearing again! Awesome!

Awesome! I'm curious...did you just upgrade to Windows 10 recently? After upgrading to Windows 10 several months ago I experienced the same behavior. The video card driver update "failed"... yet completed successfully. And I believe its happened again since then on successive updates.
ArchieD
No I haven't upgraded to Windows 10. Still working with 8.1.
joey_martin
Restarting the computer will fix the issue as well. If you leave your machine on for extended periods, like I tend to do, restarting or shutting the machine down for the night will fix the issue.
