pintodesign
Anyone have any ideas on why this happens when I block this door with the sidelite windows?? Thanks for looking. Barb Weston existing.zip
HamlinBC
Hi Barb... I would say you found a bug. Something with mulling the windows and door with a lintel over it produces the weird result. I could duplicate the same thing on one of my plans... Not sure how to fix it...maybe one of the guru's could chime in.
HamlinBC
If you make the windows full height, then the lintel works...weeeeiiird.
Kiwideziner
The external lintel is causing the problem, tried to do it without the ext lintel and it looks good then open mulled unit and add ext lintel and it goes wierd. Probably best to send to CA.
MoeGia
Do all 3 pieces have the same head hieght? It looks like the door is taller. Not at my computer to check.
pintodesign
Thanks all. Yes Maureen, the windows and door have the same head height. I think it's a bug. I'll send it in to tech. Barb
Alaskan_Son
Definitely a bug, but for what it's worth, you do have 2 different lintel sizes in play. One is 5-1/2" and the other is 5-1/4".
pintodesign
Good catch Michael.
Solution pintodesign Posted October 9, 2015 Author Solution Share Posted October 9, 2015 Tech Support confirmed this is a bug and suggested making the lintels out of a moulding. They are looking into a fix for a future release. Thanks to tech for the quick response! Barb
Rosco2017
I've had this happen in the past with three windows. (They were Anderson Windows from the Manufacturer catalog) I thought it was something I did. I deleted the windows and added new ones in there place and they worked fine after that. Hmm.
