decorators3 Posted September 9 Share Posted September 9 I received a ZIP file from a developer that was originally sent by another draftsman. Can anyone tell me how I can determine how many floor plans, if any, are included in the file? When I opened the ZIP, I found a floor plan layout , but when I open it in Chief only see dwg files I’m not sure if I’m missing something, if there are other files I should be opening, or if only one floor was actually included. Doug_N Posted September 9 Share Posted September 9 The zip file contains AutoCAD files only, and when opened in AutoCAD, there are two floor plans: a basement and a main floor. You will need to import the dwg file that has the floor plans. Your first step should be to unzip the files to a new directory and then open them in AutoCAD to find the files that you need for CA.
