open to below room causes stucco to not come down

see below. There is no break in the foundation wall nor the main floor wall.

 

I know I can pull it down...but should I have to?

 

On the residential template, it only exhibits the same behaviour in the corner. shown below as well.

 

I also noticed it shows as bottom plate & sill plate in my plan in the structure panel, but the residential template only shows 1. both have sill plates checked on the foundation walls

Yeah, I think it's a bug. Saw it come across not too long ago, the Open Below room is causing it. See the thread below for some other workarounds besides dragging the wall down, which is probably the easiest. But you're right, you shouldn't have to, and any of them I tried will screw with your framing. It would be nice if you sent it in to tech support and reported back.

 

 

Maybe someone else can figure out a setting to fix it, but as soon as you change that to a normal room it corrects itself.

It's definitely a bug...at least by obvious standards (maybe not by Chief's).  Not sure if it's from the room or the sill plate, but in my experience, sill plates have several build behaviors that are buggy.
