Rail wall meeting a solid wall

I have a situation where I want the corner post of the rail wall to extend all the way to the corner.  I have everything, and the solid wall always goes to the corner and the first post of the rail sits next to it.  Am I missing something here?  Thanks in advance.

I tried messing with room dividers to at least get the condition in plan view but as you can see in 3D it doesn't match the plan.

So you can actually drag the newel post over to be in front, but CA does NOT like it.

It immediately just makes it a half post (regardless of your post style you select), and there is a lot of funkiness in how it builds in 3D.

That's not actually the correct view in the plan.  What appears to be a newel post is actually a part of the wall but without the fill.

Hi Rene,

 

Thanks for the vid.  I was super hopeful after watching.  I tried your method on my file and as soon as I move the room divider up to the edge of the post, the solid wall goes right back to the corner.

 

Does it make a difference that the rail wall and solid walls make up the room?
