Rashid_Garuba
I need the veneer to cap the ends.. Is this controlled by the doorway or the wall type?.. Thanks
Rashid_Garuba
Must have to do with the doorway as the wall caps when drawn without an opening.....
rlackore
I don't get that problem. Post the plan so we can take a closer look.

Rashid_Garuba
Robert... May have to do with the wall type??... I really don't want to do solids.. Helvey.plan
rlackore
The wall needs to have the main layer defined as a framing material - right now it is set to a non-framing material: Pine(honey).
DRAWZILLA
If you need to fine tune the ends ,you can also use the new "edit wall intersection tool" and pull the surface out

DRAWZILLA
works for me, not necessarily for the Op, b/c I didn't actually try it, but in other cases it works great.
rlackore
I'm still on X6, but AFAIK the edit wall intersection tool doesn't work at wall openings, only at ends, which is why I don't think it will work for the OP. It would be nice if the OP wouldn't leave us in the dark and would tell us how the problem was solved.
Rashid_Garuba
Robert... Sorry.. your suggestion to set the main layer as the framing layer was the solution. Remaining problem is the 2D representation is still wrong. I didn't try the "edit wall intersection tool".
rlackore
I don't think there's an automatic solution for the plan view - you may have to draw in a CAD object by hand. Perry or someone else may have a solution.
DRAWZILLA
I would have made that out of 1 wall -not two -with X7 multi frame walls but he may only be using X6
Rashid_Garuba
Like so?... I did try the intersection too and not very clean but will have to do..

DRAWZILLA
It's not one wall, it's two walls put together, as I can see. X7 has a new ,one wall with double framing. Nice feature for this kind of situation.
