mtldesigns
I'm not sure if my question makes sense. I have one kitchen, half is under a flat ceiling, the other half under a vaulted ceiling. Because of the invisible wall to define the two areas, I have two kitchens now. I've tried a few things,, for example, making that invisible wall, not invisible.. that makes it all one room, but the flat ceiling disappears.. Any idea how to make one room label instead of how I show it?
Rookie65
Did you try setting the invisible wall to "no room definition?"

DBCooper
There are a couple of things you can do but they each have some problems. You could get rid of the invisible wall and just use a soffit for the dropped ceiling. You might have to use a poly solid for the vaulted area above the soffit but your lights might find the soffit so you don't have to mess with their heights manually. You won't get any framing if that is important to you. You could just hide one of the kitchen labels. If you want to show correct dimensions or area, you won't be able to use a normal room label. You could always create an expanded room polyline and manually setup its label to match your room labels. If you are trying to use a room finish schedule, you might have to remove the two kitchens from the schedule and add the room polyline to instead it but I don't think you will be able to match all of the room columns. Seems like there is at least one good feature request somewhere here. Might be nice if we had a way of treating the "expanded" room as a single room for everything except the structure? MarkMc
Never mind, just realize that doesn't solve the schedule. Set one room type to unspecified, move the label you want to keep. Edited 5 hours ago by MarkMc
