GeneDavis
Two pics attached. I want each side to have its railing die into the wall, meaning that the stair widens one side at a different tread than the other. I also want the newels moved enough out, out meaning away from the bottom riser and tread nose, so that both tread and riser resolve into the newels. Steve from Chief Skills has a six-year-old video up on YouTube and he hacks it by pasting on short 3" and 2" wide stairs at the bottom runout. But that was a few Xs ago. This need of mine has gotta be a common one. How do you address it in X17. South Park Charleston.7z Edited Monday at 05:14 PM by GeneDavis
DBCooper
I think all you need to do is add a "complete break" to your stair where the wall ends and then you can make the lower section wider. I did a quick look but could not find a tech article or video on it although I thought for sure there was one.
Greg_NY61
If I'm not mistaken, when you select the lower section there is an icon at the taskbar that saying "Disconnect Selected Subsection" next to Transform/Replicate icon
PitMan71
I think what's going to create somewhat of an issue here is that it will need two complete breaks. When I did that the stair appeared as desired, but it added a newel post midway up that right side that I could not remove. When I removed the post from that section it removed them everywhere.
