ChiefUserKatie
Is there a way to easily reorder elevations? We do a lot of whole-home remodels, which means we end up with elevations in nearly every room. I try to organize them correctly from the start, but realistically I don’t always get them in the right order. Sometimes I forget to add an elevation until later, and then I want to reorganize them so the plan set flows better. When you have 20–30+ elevations, it becomes pretty tedious to go into each one and manually rename or renumber them. Is there a way to automatically sort elevations? Ideally, I’m imagining a feature where all elevations could be shown in a list and you could drag and drop them into the desired order, with the elevation names or numbers automatically updating based on that order. Thanks in advance for the help!

SHCanada2
are you referring to changing their location in layout, or just renumbering/naming?

Do you do a elevation of every wall in the home, no matter if its a blank wall just with a few outlets? I'm curious for sure. Not sure 100% I understand your question besides just simply renaming in your tree.
Renerabbitt
Rename them from the project browser. Also, let me suggest a change... Switch to a callout "rose" which is a callout with 4 "arrows" and no number used. Then label your elevations left right rear front. So your elevations show up as laundry right, laundry left, and you have a single callout indicating that there are 4 laundry room elevations on page A-5 such that your callout shows LE/A5. You'll never have to worry about numbering them again Edited February 10 by Renerabbitt

If it has cabinets / tile / wood paneling / etc. ; it can add up on multi-space projects with a lot of detail.

Do you paste a CAD block rose and hide the single elevation callouts that chief generates? Or is there a way that they are linked somehow

Is that the same for the callout rose with 4 arrows? I know the singular elevation callout can link to the camera, but am curious if there's a way in Chief to do the 4-arrow callout rose you were mentioning & have it linked as well. Or is the 4 arrow callout rose a CAD block that you manually edit & then have additional single elevation callouts that are providing that link to your plan file?
