PitMan71
Is there any way to make sure elevation markers added to the story pole dimensions line up with the ones added with the Auto Story Pole tool? Every time I add one I have to line it up with the others.... Can figure why when added they just done automatically line up with the others. Thanks
SHCanada2
I have the same problem. auto puts them at 24, manual puts them at like 6 or something, then I have to go in and adjust each. I just havent spent the time to look through the dimension defaults to see if/where they are set. Did you already look through there and didnt find anything? PitMan71
I didn't... I will tho. Seems like it would be inferred to line up with other markers and not some random setting.
PitMan71
I did dig a little further.... The "Length away" amount in the Extentions/Markers panel is what governs that. There does seem to be default of 3" somewhere. Digging into where that is.
PitMan71
Not finding anything. If its there, I don't see it.
PitMan71
nvm... I did find it. BUT depending on your dimension defaults in elevation this could affect other things if changed. The setting under defaults.... Select your dimension default that you use on elevations, then under the Extensions panel, "Length Away From Marked Object:" is the setting it's using. If you are using these defaults on your plan like I am it will affect that too. Seems like the thing to do if you want it to come in like you want every time is to create a dimension default just for story pole dimensions then you can set it how you want. Anyway, glad we figured that out.
Chrisb222
I find the story pole needs a lot of tweaking to get it to look how I want, and is sorely in need of more snaps!
robdyck
This is a problem and I wouldn't be surprised if Chief has NOT received very many request for adjustment. Let's blitz them with bug reports! 1
PitMan71
I like the concept for sure.... BUT as you have mentioned there is much room for improvement.
SHCanada2
thanks, yes I use that setting for the plan view, and given the plan dimensions are used all the time, I'll have to keep adjusting for the storey pole or is it the story pole as you guys put it. Maybe it is a story for the storeys
