unable to make a copy

anyone seen this error:

I can export the CA project after I got this error, just cant make a copy...and no, the check knowledgebase does not have anything

 

I took a chance and saved and closed the plan file and layout and it can now make a copy

 

...never had a problem before making a copy of a plan file while it was open

I haven't seen that one but I haven't been working in the new project mode much yet.  I would report it to tech support though because it sounds like something that needs fixing.

This can happen if you go into file explorer and make a change to the file name or move it to another location while the file is still open in Chief.
 

Then when you go back to Chief and try to save it, you will get that error.

This is project management mode...no access to the filenmae

Of happens when using custom wall types as well. Use the edit area tool and paste into new plan is the only way I know how to save the work

so you cant save it, or you cant make a copy, or both?

 

I had this happen again, but it is just that it cannot make a copy. I can still save
