rmccaw
Hi everyone! I'm a beginner Chief user, and it seems like a bit of a silly question, but can anyone give tips on how to connect the ends of a singular curved exterior wall in order to create a circular building? Should I instead make a dodecagon or some sort of polygon to create the effect of a circular shape? Thanks!
Alaskan_Son
This should be in the general Q&A section, but the quick answer is that you cannot. It has 2 be done with 2 separate wall objects. The result will look like one continuous wall, but it has to be modeled with at least 2.
DBCooper
I think Michael is right, you will need two half circles to make a full circle with walls. You can open the wall dialog and set the radius to make sure they are both exactly the same. If you do want to create a polygon shaped room/building, you can use the "polygon shaped room" tool to set the number of sides and either the side length or the radius.
tundra_dweller
I did a plan last year for a grain bin converted to an ADU, can confirm the walls of a circular structure have to be at least two separate wall segments. And the walls will want to break and the ends jump around the perimeter if you add openings and interior walls.
rmccaw
Thanks guys! I couldn't find it when I searched the Q&A, but it might have just been the phrasing. Gonna give it a go now.

A Good place to start is always the KB ( Knowledge Base (or FAQ) ) https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00763/creating-a-circular-room.html it does not specifically mention needing 2 Walls to do this but as noted above that is the case, chief suggest Drawing 1 wall with the spec'd radius and then breaking it and then rejoining the ends for an exact match.
