Suppressing the dimension value is changing the color of the text? Setting?

When I add this text to the segment on this dimension line and then "suppress the dimension" it turns the color of the text from the normal blue to this other color. I cannot find where this setting is to change it. Anyone know?

Are adding text OVER the dim line or using the text options within the dimension dialog box?

I can't reproduce the problem. I'd start by saving and reopening, maybe even reboot. Try a new file and see if that does it. Post plan with problem.

Possibly this setting?  The setting highlights dimension text that has been "messed with."

Great catch! Another setting I did not notice that existed.
