Roof plan

My client wants to do a single slope .5/12 from bottom to top.  As you can see there is an angled wall on the left, so if I did a squared roof plane, is there a way to cut it off at the angled wall?

In plan view, just grab the desired corner and move it.

If I can't get this exact is there any way to cut the roof plane like in AutoCAD?

You can use polyline subtraction if you want to cut out part of a roof plane.

 

In the example above though, I would probably use the make parallel tool instead.

You could also use auto roofs to do that roof.

I'm new to the make parallel tool, I think it's what needs to be used here, see attached, I need to bring down the top vertex, and cut off the triangle at the 60 ft mark.

Break the edge of the sloping roof plane at the 60' mark and then drag the vertex down.

It is worth saying again...use auto roofs.

Thanks, it worked, sometimes auto roofs doesn't work and creates weird roof plans, so I have to go custom.
