Stairs & landing not showing on both floors....

Is that really a landing?  If I was to make a guess, I might think you created that landing by some other method or that your stairs are not actually connected to it.  Or maybe you created the landing on the second floor instead of on the first floor? You should create all 3 stairs and the landing on the first floor and then they should show up on both.

If you want anything other than guesses, post your plan.

I'm working on a lobby space and the first floor will only show the curved stairs.  I can't seem to get the landing and stairs from the second floor to show on the first floor.

Any one know how to get the landing and stairs to show?

I suggest that you post the plan file so that someone may look at what the actual problem is.

Seeing as Aldo is showing several custom layers for solids I am guessing DB is correct about your landing.  But either way select all of your landings and stairs as a group use the "cut" command then move to level 1 and use the "paste in place" command.  If the second floor has that area as open below then you will see them on both floors.

Otherwise post your plan.

Hello - I am new to Chief Architect and desperately need help figuring out this deck I'm trying to create. When I go to add railings to it, they are floating - which they weren't before. And the structure below is no longer showing up - I would like to have the deck reach the top of the terrain for a clean look. The hot tub is supposed to be sitting on top of the terrain as well, and the deck should be built around it, but I'm not sure how it got raised. The paneling also doesn't look as good as I'd like, but that is not main priority.

I also cannot figure out bay windows...one of the windows has disappeared, and I have the width I need and location of the window where I need it, but the deck is being built around it when I would like it to just continue underneath of it. If there's a way to connect the windows and not have brick in between - that would be great as well - if not, I am open to any help. I have attached the file here. Please help! Thank you!

I'm still fairly new to Chief and have mostly learned from just playing around with things. Is there a way to create a custom-shaped section for a different material? For example, I am trying to make a curved pathway of wood, while the surrounding material is carpet.

I was able to create the pathway using polylines, and then changed the fill to a wood-plank pattern on the plan view. But I am trying to see the differentiated pathway in the rendered perspective view.
Should I be using the polyline tools to do this or is there a better way?

      Hello,

Can Chief build a stair rail volute automatically?

      Thanks again,

I can't find answers to three challenges I'm having with this stairway.  On the lower section, I need an open stairway with one stringer - treads stopping 2" away from outside wall.  The landings need to be open (like the lower section).  Then I need the top section to be closed.

Is there a way to modify the lower and upper sections seperately?  How do I get the landings to be open underneath?

As always, your input is appreciated!
