buzzsaw204
hi, When you hatch to polyline with a grid pattern, and you move the polyline, But the fill pattern stays stationary. is there an option to lock or shift the hatch Fill pattern to the Polyline? So that the grid pattern stays in line with a Polyline, the way you intended to be.
Solution DG1949 Posted June 19, 2022 Solution Share Posted June 19, 2022 You can select the polyline and the grid fill and create a block. However, if you "un-block, the fill pattern will revert. Alternatively, you can move the fill pattern with the "Offset and Angle" values, but that won't lock to the polyline.
Kbird1
might be better off just using multicopy ( of CAD Lines) in both directions to make the Grid, as Chief uses a global coordinate system. Mick.

Dermot
How walls display in camera views (and this includes elevation views) is controlled by materials. Vector views, will use patterns and the other rendering techniques will use textures. So if you are trying to control the pattern of a wall material, take a look at the settings on the Pattern panel of the Define Material dialog for the material the wall is using. This support article has some information that might help: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00194/changing-the-direction-of-a-material-s-pattern-and-texture.html More information about materials can also be found in our training videos: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/playlists/170/materials-patterns-textures.html 1
