terrain hole below cantilever, how to fix?

I tried rebuilding terrain with no luck, there is no foundation below this cantilever. I dont remember if there once was. but is there a way to fix it? I tried selecting the edge in 3d to see if i could bring it in but doesnt seem to select it

Select the terrain and then the "Make Terrain Hole(s) Around Building(s)" and then you can manually edit it.

You can also draw the terrain on level zero.

That way, only your foundation walls influence the terrain cut out - changes to your level 1 walls will not affect the terrain cut out.

ie, you can leave Auto Build Terrain toggled on.
