MichaelaS
I created a fireplace symbol and have it resessed into the wall. Is there a way that I can control what portion of the symbol cuts the wall out? If not, any reccomendations on how to better set this symbol? DRAWZILLA
I would not have it cut a wall hole and just use a passthrough for the opening
MarkMc
Perry's method is easiest in this case. In some other situations you can alter the bounding box to determine where it cuts into the wall.
glennw
You could probably do that by specifying Inserts Into Wall. This gives you the option of making any shaped hole you want. You can also specify the depth of the hole into the wall.
MichaelaS
Thanks guys! I used Perry's method intially, but I will edit my symbol for the bounding box. Makes perfect sense. Thanks for everything!
