bdillard1
I'd love to see the trusses I need to put in but for some reason I see what I'm guessing is a ceiling below the floor truss area over the basement? Can you tell me where that is specified? I'd like to remove it. I realize there are many things to fix - right now I'd like to fix this item, please. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AonCBRorVv74rBCp6bZ_YzT6FOFL?e=ZiT8SY
Solution CharlesVolz Posted February 15, 2022 Solution Share Posted February 15, 2022 That is your sub-floor from Floor 1 above.
Chopsaw
That is what you have specified as subfloor sheathing for the rooms above. What you need is some framing to hold it up and then you can attach the basement ceiling to that.

bdillard1
Thanks everyone - I thought that would be on the other side of the trusses - I'll check that out right away.

Looks like it is, you probably don't have the Framing (Joists and/or Trusses) displayed in that camera view. (Layerset) M.
bdillard1
Kbird1 - thanks so much that has been driving me crazy - it never occurred to me that was the issue. I know I put 1 (not all of them) in and yet never saw it. I'll be tripping over it every night on the way to bed now that I know it is sticking up there! I thought for sure it would show in my cross section view. It seemed like I had everything showing except that and I couldn't figure out why for so long. Thanks again! Chopsaw, please don't think I didn't appreciate the advice as well. And of course Charles, thanks for being so quick with the solution! I'll work on it in the morning and start a new thread if I have a problem but I really do appreciate everyone's help! I promise not to gush as much next time but this is huge for me. EVERY View has it own Display Options/Layerset , many of us work with the ALDO Open to make it easier to see what is on/off etc, you may also want to add the Layerset Toolbar etc to help keep track of things. https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00017/displaying-framing-in-a-cross-section-elevation-view.html https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-03122/displaying-the-active-layer-set-control-on-the-toolbar-or-in-the-aldo.html
