omartinjordan
Can someone please take a look and see what I need to do to get the stairs up to the bonus room above the garage? I can't seem to get them to lock into the right area at the top and the railing and width seem to change as it goes up. I am a fairly new user using X5. I think I finally have just about everything the way I want it with the help of some you guys. I have tried the best fit stair option but it seems to give me wierd results. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. House plan 424-60_stair help.plan
javachip24k
There is no floor above. Add a floor and the stairs will connect.

tommy1
There is a floor above the garage. It should be there. I will check the file again and make sure. Haven't looked at it but remember that the attic level is not a floor level.

omartinjordan
I have tried everything and still can't seem to get the stairs to connect to the 2nd floor room above the garage. On a side note, what do I have to do to get a 3d view of the 2nd floor without the roof? I have tried all different kinds of 3d views and can get the first floor but not the second. Gawdzira
To get the second floor view, go to the plan view on the second floor and hit the Orthographic Floor Overview button.
omartinjordan
It was a layer display issue. Had to make the roof planes not visible. Duhhh! Anyone have any ideas on the stairs? I'm lost.

omartinjordan
Not being able to save as earlier versions is probably the biggest drawback to this software. Is there any kind of work around for this?
lbuttery
Is there any kind of work around for this? maybe save as .DWG and then start over software is way too complicated to allow for backward compatibility Lew
