LevisL
Is there a glitch in the 3D display of garage door jambs or do I need to adjust a setting? Seems like I have this problem on almost every plan. I've tried different dimensions for the casing, the jamb, and the rough opening, but nothing seems to fix the 3D display. It's as if the material on the sides is too thin... I can usually play around with the camera to get an angle that looks decent, but this time it's really bad! DRAWZILLA
I have also seen this and I just use a casing 1" and it seems to fix it. With no casing there might be some z-fighting
HumbleChief
I get that same 'z-fighting' when at certain angles. Never noticed it before but couldn't get rid of it either no matter the setting.

Solution DRAWZILLA Posted December 23, 2014 Solution Share Posted December 23, 2014 Sometimes you need to add interior casings as well.
LevisL
Video of changing casing settings. Nothing worked on this end. http://screencast.com/t/QalZjMSb6 Thanks for looking into it Larry. I will submit it as a bug. Sometimes you need to add interior casings as well. That was the ticket. As soon as I added interior casings, the problem went away. That should be fixed though. I haven't seen too many garage doors with interior casing! DRAWZILLA
It's been that way forever, I have just learned to live with it. Thanks for turning in a bug report.

JLDrafting
Video still large, I also tried all the settings in Flash but no go. He's using the free program Jing by Techsmith. I used it for screen shots before I took the plunge to Snagit. I checked, and it does have the video option that I never tried. I haven't used the Snagit for videos as much as I probably could, but it seems better from what I'm seeing.
DRAWZILLA
I use Snagit all the time, here and to my clients, never had any complaints.
