armfx89
Hello, I have raised the ceiling height of the porch to above the 2nd floor level (see pic). Since then, its causing issues on parts of the exterior wall siding (red arrows in the pic). When I lower the porch ceiling back to normal 8 ft, those cuts disappear. Can anyone advise why this is happening. House.plan

rlackore
Cut a section through that area. When you raise the porch ceiling, you're also raising the floor of the second floor bedroom. Solving that issue will put you on a path to solving your original issue. 1
GeneDavis
Kind of related to another recent post about floors over floors, no? When you fiddle with floors and room heights, you gotta go top to bottom.

May I ask why it's raising the floor of the 2nd floor bedroom as well??

The projected areas of the porch ceiling and the 2nd floor bedroom overlap. If the porch ceiling is at 12', and the bedroom floor is at 10', something has to give. If you raise the porch ceiling, Chief is going to raise the bedroom floor. If you lower the bedroom floor, Chief will lower the porch ceiling. You can't have it both ways.
