Jambruins
Is there a way to dimension porch columns without inserting my own columns? When I create a porch I know I can adjust the column spacing but what is the best way to place dimensions from column to column?
GeneDavis
Only way I know is to break the wall into multiple segments.
SNestor
Create a CAD Detail from view...copy the cad lines of the columns back to the plan...you will then have something to snap to. Unfortunately...these cad boxes are not "live"...so, make sure you have your columns exactly where you need them. If you move them...you will have to do the CDFV all over again. rgardner
Using the railing tool they are evenly spaced unless you break the railing wall (and change definition or interior/exterior side), or you can input a doorway between where you want the posts. For Dimensioning them you will need to place some type of cad item to dimension to as the posts are not dynamic. However if you use the doorway method to space your posts you will be able to dimension to the edges of the doorways which is the edge of the post in this case.
